Wedding Invitations

If you are a non-conventional couple and true fans of Harry Potter, then amaze your guess with some wedding invitations that look like the Marauder’s Map. The Marauder’s Map is an iconic feature of the wizarding world and represents the lasting testimony to the advanced magical ability of its four creators, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, James Potter and that literal rat traitor Peter Pettigrew.

Besides, let’s not forget that it was used once for a romantic purpose. You still remember, don’t you? When Harry was searching for the Horcruxes, he would often look at the map to see what Ginny Weasley, his love interest, was doing.

You can also add some of the heart-touching quotes like:

“Love …. leaves it’s own mark. To have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever.”

― J.K.Rowling

But guys don’t forget to give the secret code, “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good’ to your guests or else they would not be able to find the correct address.

Floating Candles Like Those in the Great Hall

“I had never even imagined such a strange and splendid place could exist. It was lit by thousands and thousands of candles that were floating in midair over four long tables, where the rest of the students were sitting.”

The above describes what Harry felt when he saw the Great Hall for the first time.

Like the Great Hall, you can also decorate your wedding hall with tall flickering candles.

Harry Potter Table Décor

Usually, table runners provide a stunning way to dress up a wedding reception table and what’s more stunning than using pages from the Harry Potter books to make themed table runners.

Moreover, you can use vintage bottles and jars and label them as potion bottles. For example, one of the must-have potions is the Amortentia. And for those who forgot, it is the most powerful love potion in the world and smells different to each person according to what attracts them. For example, we all know that why apart from fresh-cut grass and new parchment, Hermione Granger smelt Ron’s toothpaste.

Another potion that I suggest you to add on the reception table is the Felix Felicis, also called “Liquid Luck” and as the name suggests, it is a magical potion that can make the drinker lucky for a certain period of time and succeed in whatever he or she attempts to do. Of course, how can we forget the level of confidence Ron felt when Harry pretended to add a small amount of the potion in his drink. And whether the bridegroom drinks it or not, at nightfall, he will still be the one getting lucky, if you know what I mean.

Other potions that are recommended are Skele-Gro, Confusing Concoction, Draught of Peace and Polyjuice Potion. But make sure you don’t steal these potions from Professor Snape’s personal store. You know how he can be like when he is angry.

Another table décor that gives a Harry Potter vibe is the chocolate frog card. It is card that displays pictures of famous witches and wizards such as Albus Dumbledore and give small amounts of information about them. Obviously, as the cards are normally obtained by buying chocolate frogs, it is essential to place them along some chocolates.

Golden snitches and Harry Potter books can also be displayed on the table along with some Harry Potter themed banners.
